I had a beautiful blackback butter male ordered as well, but unfortunately, he arrived DOA. So I'm waiting for this year's hatchlings from the guy, as the larger male he offered as a replacement didn't have the blackback I was after. So I'm still waiting for my most recent addition--but he's paid for. LOL

Sorry about the butter, but everyone else looks great.

Have you got any plans to pair any of your het albinos this year?

I had plans for it, but unfortunately the female and I were not on the same page. LOL She's been a sporadic feeder since she was a baby anyway, and she pulled another not-eating stunt on me. I resorted to live prey, but even that only lasted for about 4 weeks. She's not taken a meal in about a month now. Maybe next year. She did actually hit 1500 grams during her 4-week eating spell, but dropped back down again once she started refusing. She's still around 1200 grams, and I could breed her, but I prefer to hold off until she's a steady 1500+ grams, as Adam Wysocki's notes show females that are bred smaller tend to have smaller clutches throughout their life.

It's possible, though, for her to begin feeding again in a month or so, and if she does make weight, I might try for some late pairings, but that's still up in the air. LOL Same possibility with my orange ghost--she's around 1100 grams at the moment.

Oh, on a side note, the spider has been breeding the normal girl.

Probably gonna hold a contest for one of the spiders this year. If I get lucky enough and get to breed my het albinos, and have enough albino offspring, I might give one of those away too.
