| Blount County Humane Society is doing their 4th annual CritterFest at Pearson Springs Park in Maryville on Sunday, May 23, 2010. I am planning to get a booth there, and if anyone wants to bring animals for display or sale, they are welcome to do so. For info/directions, please see the CritterFest website at http://www.blountcountyhumanesociety.org/Newpage26.htm. This page is last year's event page, but directions are on it if you scroll to the bottom. We did this event last year with Sonnie/East Tennessee Herp Society, but this year we will be doing it under Python Passion. But like I said, I'm willing to share the booth with others if they'd like to come and help educate, plus sell any of their own animals. I'll have my last ball python plus T-shirts to sell. If anyone is interested in coming, here are the details: Tme is from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2010 (Rain date June 6). We can begin setup if need be at 8 a.m. but must be finished by noon. I'll be bringing: Some animals to display (most likely many of my morphs, unless they are in shed) My last for sale ball python My T-shirts Paper Towels Hand Sanitizer Snake Hook Table and Tent (I am working on confirming these, but I don't see an issue) Ball Python Quick-Glance Care Sheet And anyhting else I can think of that might be useful while we're there. LOL Please feel free to bring any or all: Your for-sale animals Lizards for display Snakes for display (probably need some small species and some large ones if anyone cares to, that way we'll have a good educational booth) Frogs for display Inverts for display Anything else you think might be helpful or that you can sell (reptile-related) Please let me know here if you are planning to come, or email me at pythonpassion@charter.net so that I can make plans for everyone's space. Our booth is only 10' X 10'. If need be, I can maybe upgrade to a 10' X 15' booth, though that will cost another $20.00 and I may need help with that part of the fee (I am paying the $55.00 for the 10' X 10' space). Also let me know what you are planing to bring with you in terms of animals/items so we can make sure we have enough table space. If we have a lot, I may need to see if anyone can bring an extra table or two. | |

| No one? You can sell animals guys! LOL And if we don't need more than a 10' X 10' space, it's also FREE to everyone! | |

| I'm not sure if I'll be free that date. I would love to sell animals but at the moment, I only have a pair of baby balls that I could sell there. Maybe if we don't already have plans made we can come check it out and visit with you guys. | |

| Sounds great! If you do manage to come, bring your for-sale critters and we'll stick a price tag on 'em. And FYI to everyone: I asked about expanding the booth later, and I was told that we won't be able to do that. So if you are coming for sure, I'll need to know by this Friday to plan for a bigger booth; otherwise, we're getting the 10' X 10' booth. If you decide after Friday that you want to join me, we can expand back, but not side to side, so your for-sale animals will be at the back (if we run out of room) away from the sidewalks/people. Sorry to do it this way, but we're stuck, and since I am shelling out the $55.00 for the booth, I figure I have first choice of where to put my for sale animal/T-shirts, etc. I still don't care to share with everyone, though. And if we know by Friday (when I need to mail in the money and form) we can still get a larger one. | |

| I might be able to make it to this. I have a wedding to go to on Saturday, and Amanda's only day off during the week is Sunday. So it is a possibility. If I come i will bring the Brazilian and maybe Lucy my small ball python since mj is kinda on maternity leave right now guarding eggs. | |

| Yay! Hope you guys can come out! I officially mailed off the payment for the booth yesterday, so we definitely have a spot! Bring your own chairs, and feel free to bring a small cooler filled with drinks for yourself. Also, there is a special rule we have to follow while we're there: I am bringing hand sanitizer. The reptiles are not allowed away from our booth and away from the hand sanitizer. The idea behind this is that when you walk around the event with a reptile, kids come up to pet it but there's no hand santitizer nearby for them to use (unless you have a small bottle in your pocket). So they've asked us to keep our reptiles at our booth. If you need to use the bathroom, find food, or want to visit another booth, please leave your reptiles at our booth. I will be there myself to watch over any reptiles to make sure no one is harming them or leaving with them. | |

| I had a lot of fun, Pam! Loved checking out your snakes and talking with everyone visiting the table. My kids were exhausted after doing so much at the park and fell asleep on the drive home. We'll definitely have to do this again. | |

| Glad you had fun! And by the way, your albino and my lesser briefly made the 6 o'clock news on Channel 10! It was very briefly, but they were on there. LOL I may try and catch the 11 o'clock news too and see if they have more info on it, or if that's all they do. | |

| Yeah, I'm wondering if I should try and record it off the 10News2 Channel. LOL I keep searching the WBIR website, but so far nothing. But it just may take them a little time to get everything from this newscast on there. Hopefully they'll do a longer story at 11???? | |
