Palpated Kyriel and can't really feel anything. She's still wolfing down rats like there's no tomorrow so I feel pretty confident that she'll "take", it's just going to take a bit longer than the other girls.
I palpated Henna as well and I THINK I felt 4 or 5 shooter marble sized follicles. I could be wrong, of course. Time will tell.

They're still doing their thing but whenever you're ready for your guys to come home, just say the word Pam!
Let's hope that that's a pre-ovy shed she's going into. *fingers crossed*

Yoooooooohooooooooo! Pam!!
I'm not entirely sure if this is the beginning or tail end of an ovy but she's been favoring the cool end of her tub for a little while now and I just found her like this. lol If she suddenly moves to the warm end and stays put I guess we can confirm this as her ovy and start counting down to shed and then to eggs.

I think it's funny she's got "love handles". lol
Oh and see all the crazy blushing? I think that's what happens with albinos that are glowing. Her head and back are all blushed. Yellow splotches all over the place.

Okay, well it's a week later and she's still on the cool side and is even bigger. Sooo.. still waiting on the official ovulation.
I was cleaning out her tub so I snapped this pic of her in an empty bin:
I would like to say that this is her ovulation, but she's been this swollen for at least two days now so I'm still waiting.

I know! She's still swollen as of this morning but not as much as yesterday. She's been moving back and forth from the cool end to the warm end of the tub so I'm really not sure what's going on in there. Hopefully she's past the worst of it and will settle on the warm end soon (I'm hoping so anyway).

Henna just shed so I'm going to estimate that her lay date will be sometime in the first week of June.

Hoping for Henna to lay her eggs sometime in the next week or so. I'm anxious to see how many she lays since I've had no luck at all in palpating her.
Kyriel looks like she's working up to ovulation. She's been spending more time on the cool end of her tub and has been getting plump despite the fact that she's been refusing food.

Henna has been working her eggs downward. Looking forward to finally seeing how many she's holding sometime in the near future.
Kyriel is getting plump but still no ovy just yet. She's got four large follicles in there. It's a pity there aren't more but I'll not complain. I'm going to give her next season off and focus on getting more size on her.

Yay!
I hope Kyriel gives us a couple of pieds . . . my boy has escaped! I forgot to secure his cage door when I got home and put him away Sunday (I was so tired I was ready to drop), and he got out. I do think he's still in the house, possibly in some crevice behind the cages that I can't get to, because the snakes' lights keep going out one by one. I think he's back there unplugging everything . . . except his own light. LOL

I found him last night. Well, actually, Trouble, my Maine Coon mix cat deserves the credit for finding him. He got lots of treats for locating the $1,000 snake. LOL (And no, he didn't hurt him, just pointed us in the direction where the snake was.) He was behind the cages, as I had suspected. Late last night, he got active and I was able to see him, get him, and put him back in his cage.

Henna is laying (Before you ask.. No, I don't know what that black spot on her head is. I would wipe it off before snapping pics but didn't want to irritate her while she was in the middle of egg laying)
And Kyriel is going into her pre-lay shed cycle

Happy to report that Henna does not seem to mind me checking in on her and candling her clutch. It's a nice switch from my other female who's brooding in the tub next door and wants to take my hand every time I go to refill her water bowl. lol
I only got a couple pics because I didn't want to disturb her too much. I also tried offering her a rat weanling tonight and she showed some interest but didn't take it. I'll offer food again next feed day.
Oh and Kyriel shed yesterday!

We're at 22 days and I figured I'd get a few new pics.
It's still a bit early to tell if there are albinos or hets cooking in there. Henna really doesn't want to loosen her coils, either, and I have no reason to take her off the clutch. Oh well. Surprises are always nice.

Tried to get a shot of Henna feeding today but missed it. I got a shot of her coiling the rat but I had to go out of the room to help one of my kids. I was only gone for a minute or two but when I got back and opened her tub to get a pic of her swallowing the rat was already gone! So the last shot is just Henna and her wrinkly clutch. Grrr..

Candled a couple of the eggs yesterday (day 45) and I'm wondering if one of these might be an albino.
Certain that this one is a het. Don't mind all the background noise. It's my partner playing around with the kids. Still waiting for the audioswap to take effect.
This one, I'm thinking may be an albino..? I'm not sure because I've never had an albino ball in egg before. There's a lot of pink and I don't think I see any pattern. Then again, it could just be at an odd angle where I don't see pattern. Guess we'll see in another two weeks or so.

It takes her a little while to really decide she wants to eat and she only seems to want live right now. My het pied, Kyriel, is still unsure about eating. She even struck at the live rat I offered her today but after missing, it was like she just lost interest and went back to nosing around her eggs and adjusting her coils. Hopefully she'll take her meal at the next feed.

I've seriously been dreaming about my eggs hatching over the past several days and I knew they should be hatching any day now. I just dropped my kids off at their aunt's and as soon as I got home, I went straight to the snakes to check in with Henna and her clutch. I saw not one albino head looking at me but two! I really wish I had the camera with me for that first glance. It was so cute! I was so excited it took me a few seconds to realize my camera was actually right in front of me at the rack because I wanted to be ready for baby pics as soon as they started hatching. lol
I'm not going to bother her for a little while yet but here's what I'm ooohing and awwing over at the moment.
I'll check in again in an hour or so and see if there are any other eggs pipping and photo ops.

Three hets and one albino so far.... one egg left and I'm expecting it to be another het. Pretty lousy odds but on the upside Alchemy proved to be a het for Pam (not that she was doubting) and all the babies appear to be healthy so far.

The first baby to actually leave its egg is a little scaredy cat. She couldn't fit back into her own egg and tried to crawl under a sibling's egg. She's looks a lot like Alchemy.
The second baby out was the albino and it's got penes. Sorry, Pam. I know you were hoping for a little girl.
I'll get more pics when the rest leave their eggs. I've got these two set up in a little tub so they can settle in while they get ready to shed.

She's got quite a bit of black back going on. Not as much as her dad, but splashes of black back here and there.
If I could get the little worms to stop balling up I could get better pics of their patterns. lol
