I picked up a beaded lizard from Doug Price on Wed. He is so little he came inside of a sandwich box , a foam box , & finally a wooden box with screws holding the lid on . Here is a pic . https://s1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb479/Melvin_Dotson/Beaded/?action=view&current=IMG_2413.jpg

In Tn. there is no law on Venomous Reptiles & you don't even need a permit as well .

I think you're mistaken. There are definitely restrictions on venomous reptiles here in TN.

Summary of Law: It is unlawful for persons to possess Class I wildlife unless they were in possession of the animal(s) prior to June 25, 1991. Class I wildlife includes the following orders: Primates (gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees, gibbons, siamangs, mandrills, drills, baboons, Gelada baboons only); Carnivores (all wolves, all bears, lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cheetahs, cougars); Proboscidia (all elephants); Perissodactyla (all rhinoceroses); Artiodactyla (all hippos and African buffalos); Crocodylia (crocodiles and alligators); Serpentes (all poisonous snakes); and Amphibians (all poisonous species). However, the state does not regulate private possession of species not listed above, such as monkeys and small non domesticated cats (ocelots, servals, etc.).

Citation: TENN. CODE ANN §70-4-401, §70-4-403, and §70-4-404

I have a link also but mine is a lot better . Also , if you still don't believe me please feel free to call Tn. Wildlife like I did before I purchased them . How else do you think that a box labeled
"Venomous Lizard" made it through the airport ?

Sorry , you are part right by meaning reptiles . I should have stated lizards only . Venomous snakes are illegal in the state of Tn.

I am glad you read the link before telling some one that they were wrong......Yes lizards are allowed, however certain "venomous" snakes are not. We can have some rear fanged snakes which are slightly venomous, and as my good friend dale told me, even ringneck snakes and other native little garden snakes have a type of venom that only affects the nervous system of toads. It is kind of a crap shoot when aiming to keep something venomous in tennessee whether it be snake or lizard you still catch some flak from ppl who just say you are stupid for owning a venomous reptile. Be it lizard or snake. Hell, we as a group catch flak for owning reptiles........ All of that aside I considered picking up a beaded or a gila at the ICE show last year. I think they are pretty cool critters, congrats on your new beaded, and sorry about your loss on the other beaded.
