So, we are adding to our collection some more, and decided to try getting some geckos online since we've not had luck for leo's at the two shows we've gone to. Our Rainwater Albino pair arrived this morning from Golden Gate Geckos! So far, we are pleased! They're good looking geckos, and seem to be very healthy!

This is Nairobi, a female Stripe Hypo Rainwater Albino:

We bought two other geckos from another breeder, and they should be here Thursday! I am so excited about them. Beautiful geckos, and some awesome genetics!

cheers Yay! I have a couple of geckos coming on Thursday as well. It should be an exciting day for both of us, lol. The leos you picked are so pretty and I like their names.

YEAY for MORE new geckos! Hehe! And thanks, Dagan. It was actually kinda hard to find some Rainwaters, and these guys were the only ones that Golden Gate Geckos had left, but we really liked them! And thanks for the idea for the names.. that helped a lot! Very Happy

Lol, I couldn't sleep Monday night and was up no later than 7:30 Monday morning, constantly checking the tracking! Our poor geckos were on the truck for almost 3 hours when they got here! I sorta know how you feel. I think we are going to go ahead and try to get FedEx certified soon. We'll have hatchlings by the end of April I think, so since that process takes a little while, I think it's good to get done. I also think we're going to buy a domain name soon and start putting together a website.

And thanks! I'm excited about our these guys, and the ones coming tomorrow!

I realized that if we keep all of the leos we have now, we'll have 8 females ready to breed next season!! Shocker I don't know if we will keep them all or breed them all yet, but we would definitely have to do some shows I think to sell all those babies!!! Lol!

I know you have personal dislike for ShipYourReptiles, Sandy, but am I correct in thinking that if we use them, we don't have to be FedEx certified? They are certified already so they are acting as a third party qualified shipper for us to use. That's the whole point of the service. I'd much rather do that than get certified myself, which sounds like a pain.

I've been following the news on SYR but not very closely. I think the last bit I read on them was that their claim to be FedEx certified was legit. I need to talk to my FedEx acct. rep. to find out exactly how that works for them considering it's in conflict with the waiver that the rest of us signed.

That being said, though, I did compare the shipping quote with SYR and the quote through my own FedEx account and I'm saving more money using my own FedEx account to ship. Razz

Yeah I heard SYR has gotten very expensive! Like 60 dollars for one small box!

The shipment I just sent off cost me $65. Doh! But if I'd gone through SYR, it would have been closer to $80.

Yeay! The others are here! I think these guys got a little more roughed up, though Sad. The male has a sore/blister on one of his bag legs, and the female was belly up when I opened the box!

Anyways, here they are!

Everest, a Mack Snow Tremper Albino Enigma:

The breeder says that he's in deep shed, but I'm not sure yet. He doesn't look that dull to me like our other do when they shed, but I don't have any other leo's that are so light. I guess I'll find out in a couple of days.

And here's the female.. she's a Mack Snow Hyper Xanthic and is just stunning! We had planned on naming her Crystal, (like an ice crystal) but I'm not sure if I like that for her.. she's just so beautiful!

More new geckos! 200496_10150201714544348_828334347_8892257_2191560_n

She was being shy when I was taking her pictures, so she was in the humid hide. Both of them are exploring like crazy! It's fun to watch!
